the memory field uses a grid of string stretching from the base of my townspeople! (mixed media on canvas, 314 x 663 cm (123.6 x 261 inches)) to create an interactive space for visitors.
Consecutive years are chalked in the corner of each rectangle, so as visitors enter the field from the bottom, the earliest dates will appear while closer to the canvas brings them closer to the present. Visitors are invited to mark a commemorative date (month and day) in the square with the appropriate year.
